The Major Oil Marketers Association of Nigeria (MOMAN) has raised the alarm that the unpaid N120billion subsidy claims for the third and fourth quarters of 2013 and the delay of petrol imports allocations for the first quarter of 2014
by the Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency (PPPRA) could fuel fresh crisis in the supply of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) in the next few weeks.
The Executive Secretary of MOMAN, Mr. Obafemi Olawore told journalists in Lagos Monday that the PMS stock of the marketers was fast depleting as only three vessels of 45,000metric tonne capacity, representing 12million litres of PMS, were available in Apapa Monday.
He said already two major marketers had no PMS in their storage depots at Apapa, while the 12million litres available would be loaded out within five days if not replenished.
