Michael Schumacher ski accident: Bill Clinton Tweets message of support for German star

Bill Clinton has sent a message of support and gratitude to Michael Schumacher, as the German spends a second night in hospital following a ski accident.

The former US president said he was thinking of the seven-time Formula 1 champion, who remains in a coma after hitting his head on a rock in a fall in the French Alps yesterday.
Schumacher was known to be a supporter of Clinton's work, donating millions of dollars to the William J. Clinton Presidential Center and Park.
Clinton said he was "grateful for all [Schumacher] has done for [the Clinton Center] and others. My prayers are with him and his family."
One of the world's highest-paid athletes, Schmacher was well known for his philanthropy and was believed to have donated around $50 million to good causes during his last four years as a driver.
